feels good
Getting my pile of old n not so old clothes for recycling does feel like a bag of burden been lifted up. I have been procrastinating for the longest time now and yeah…finally, just did it. I still have another pile to go…haha.
ya man, the clothes don’t feed me anymore. No la. i am not fat. Just a lot of ‘wind’ in my tummy.
there are also some bags n toys in my next pile. so hopefully it brings cheers to some of the children receiving it.
and the third round wud be my old vcd player. prolly throw in with some of my old vcd movies too. cool, huh.
there’s a lot of news on the environmental issue lately and i guess i just do a little part by recycling. i still have to drive my CO2 emission car to get around. unless they come out with a cheap and affordable bio-diesel car, i certainly wud support it. I recycle all my old papers for fax and writings.
And in my house here, we practice by throwing all our mineral water bottles here in a separate garbage bag. I dun smoke (ahem…haha..i quit 3 yrs ago..so for those of you, perhaps maybe you wan to cut down on your smoking habits). How else i am contributing to the environment? When i go to buy stuffs at 7-eleven, normally i ask them not to give me the plastic bag. Ya..sometimes even 1 small item, they wud give you the small plastic bag and normally we cant reuse it again coz its damn small. so, it will be a waste and harm the environment when we throw it away. ha. i din even notice i was doing this for quite awhile.
well, the environmental issue is quite a serious one. Look at our weather these days. Extremely burning hot in the daytime and storm in the evenings. You don’t even need to know when is the monsoon season now coz there’s no difference. Unfortunately, it won’t be in our lifetime to see the effects of our doings but our children’s children. They will be living in a more hotter climate and perhaps, more storms and floods.
As an individual, most of us wud say we are too small to make any differences but if each of us do our part, we may avoid a climate catastrophe in the future. Ya…Malaysia is just too small to make any impact? think about it. If u play google earth, u will agree with me that we are really damn tiny and KL is also a little city. But look around, however tiny we are, we still have to feel the effects of the climate change. If the sea level rises up another 20 inches, there will be a vast effect on penang and i don’t even want to imagine what wud happen to Singapore.
So, perhaps YOU need to start doing a bit too.
